Hello! Life is really giving us some hard time. But we are staying home because it is an act of love, to make the world safer for each other.
Most of us are, probably doing some version of shelter-in-place as we attempt to ride out the waves of the covid-19 pandemic.
Everyone like eating right, but what about cooking? Whole day sitting at home, nothing to do makes us feel hungry.
No worry, here I am with some cooking tips. There are many things to cook like, different cooked vegetables (sabji) in different way, cookies, chocolate roll, etc.
So today I have come up with HANDVO (a Gujarati dish). Let us see how it is cooked.
Ingredients:
· 1 cup rice, ½ cup Chana dal, ¼ cup toor dal, 2 tbsp urad dal, ½ curd.
· 1 cup lauki and ½ cup cabbage.
· ¼ cup carrot, ¼ cup corn and ½ cup peanuts.
· 3 tbsp of ginger paste.
· ½ tsp sugar, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 3 tsp oil, ¾ tsp salt (as per your taste), 1 tsp eno.
INSTRUCTION: (as per mentioned above)
1. Firstly, soak rice, Chana dal, toor dal, urad dal for 3-4 hours.
2. Add curd and blend to a smooth but slightly coarse paste.
3. Then add lauki, cabbage, carrot and corn.
4. Also add ginger paste, sugar, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt.
5. Mix well making sure the batter is slightly thick.
6. Now add eno
7. Now keep handvo in handvo cooker and keep on gas for 45 mins.
Hey friends now it is ready to eat, trust me it is really very yummy.
